Thermographic roof inspection
It’s no secret that your roof should be inspected regularly – at least once a year (in the fall or spring).
Why thermographic inspections?
The life of the coverings we use in the commercial and industrial world ranges from 15 to 30 years, and in most cases, they are covered by a warranty.
Despite the materials’ high quality, it is important to inspect and maintain your roof to avoid any unpleasant events.
Québec’s climate brings extreme weather fluctuations, along with wind, snow, hail, high temperatures, extreme cold, and more. That’s why you should have your roof inspected regularly.
At Toiture MR, we’re always seeking new technologies and methods to meet your needs. Inspection and maintenance can keep a roof in good condition – up to twice its normal life. UAV thermal imaging camera inspection offers many advantages:
- Non-destructive method
- Targeting specific areas
- Saves time and money
- Will not harm your operations
- Full inspection report
Non-destructive method
Thermal imaging technology helps us to perform visual, non-destructive inspections, which means we don’t have to drill or cut your roof or membrane on our first visit.
To target areas that may have water, thermographic inspections identify temperature differences under the roof. Once a problem area is pinpointed, we can cut a small piece of membrane or a shingle, if necessary, with your consent, and show you where the water has infiltrated.
Targeting specific areas
After a thermal imaging roof inspection, we get a photo that shows the exact area of temperature change on your roof. These temperature changes can mean water build-up that may cause water to seep through and possibly leak.
If only strategic repairs are needed, you won’t have to replace the entire roof to fix the problem. It’s always best to fix the small problems before it’s too late.
Saving time and money
Thermal imaging inspections are quick and inexpensive. Plus, using thermography to locate problem areas can save you a lot of money and extend your roof’s life.
It’s a win-win situation. We save you money and build a trusting relationship with you.
A method that will not harm your business operations
With thermographic inspection, no one needs need to physically enter the area under the roof. Plus, thermal imaging inspections are done in the dark, so we can work when your business or factory is closed.
A complete inspection report
Once the thermal imaging inspection is done, our experts will send you a detailed report with estimates related to the various problems identified. It contains general photos of your building as well as our thermal photos. The colours in the photos are different, so you will be able to see the suspect areas. The report will include recommendations to help you decide. This will help you to easily plan your budget and work schedule. By following these recommendations, your roof’s life can be extended and a complete repair, which is more expensive, can be delayed.
Certified experts
Our regular and thermographic roof inspections are done by experienced roofers who are very familiar with a wide variety of roofing systems and understand the possible problems.
Inspection frequency
As mentioned, Québec weather conditions are not always friendly, which is why we recommend you have your roof inspected at least once a year, in the spring or fall. You could double your roof’s life just by being diligent!
